Its not about giving up all your favorite foods and dieting for the rest of your life to be healthy!
There is nothing worse than going on a diet, only to find out that to maintain it for the rest of your life you will never be able to put a mouthwatering piece of Cheesecake in your mouth! Not only is that NOT fun, its also not motivational!
2.5 years ago I was looking for the solution to being fat, out of shape, and to finally lose my excess weight. I had not heard of carb cycling, however, it is nearly what I did!
I found 5-6 small meals each day was the ticket for me to finally get healthy and shake this lifelong weight battle.
I also got active and worked out in the gym for 30-40 minutes per day, 5-6 days a week. But I did not use a treadmill ever! I learned to do bodyweight exercises, that challenge my muscles, in a fashion similar to what I demand of them on a daily basis!
I trained my body to do the everyday things better, simple things like grocery shopping, bending down to pick up the kids, cleaning the house, stamina to take my kids for a walk. All the things that so called ‘skinny people’ take for granted!
I wanted to train my body to be better, so I focused on doing simple exercises that you can even do at home, and eating better.
Now that I have lost and kept off 80 pounds I would still like to tone up more, and lose probably another 20 pounds. I am doing that with daily exercise not longer than 12 minutes and eating better. I am Carb cycling and love how much energy I have, how tasty my meals are, and how I can have the foods I love and not feel guilty.
