The Value of the Word ‘AND’

Recently I was reading Rich Dad’s Retire Young, Retire Rich, and I came across a small part in the chapter on Leverage. It read, “One Definition of Leverage is the ability to do more with less. Rich dad added to that definition by saying, ‘Leverage is the ability to do more and more with less and less.’ ”

This popped off the page and was an AH HA moment for me… you see I have learned a whole lot, but I also believe in continuing to learn, for when we stop learning we stop growing and no-one wants that to happen! So I am an earnest learner, and this just tied up everything I have been learning into one neat little bow!

Let me explain what I mean. Several of my mentors have succeeded by implementing this exact strategy so I know it works! Lets look at a few of them for examples:

Ray Higdon – In under 3 years he has become the NUMBER 1 Earner in his MLM, created a blog that is always under 20K in Alexa rankings, and helps people by the thousands while he sleeps!!

Michelle Pescosolido – In under 2 years she has become the Facebook Queen, she helps people by the thousands learn Facebook marketing, and is a top earner in both her MLM and her High Ticket Affiliate Program.

Russell Brunson – In under 8 years has become a multi-millionare online! He has created systems that allow him to make money wherever he is, and he is not working!!

So what do all of these and many others like them have in common? They all utilized leverage! Albeit different strategies of leverage. They all utilized the internet but in different forms. Ray used blogging, to create content that people found useful, valuable, and people started to know, like and trust him, and want to join him. Michelle used Facebook as a means to meet people, get to know them, and eventually they wanted to do what she did. Russell used list building to connect with thousands of people all over the world who now, know, like and trust him.

Each of these entrepreneurs put in the time, and built a system, that worked for them, while they slept, vacationed, spent time with their kids, and on and on. Today they each still work on their system but the power of leverage is in full force for them…. they are able to do More and More with less and less! While doing so I guarantee each of them makes more and more money, while physically doing less and less work!

So when people ask me is it worth it to learn these systems, follow a mentor, and work hard to create that value, my answer would have to be a resounding YES!

I have learned so much from all three of these people, and I keep learning… but I want to take this one step further…. knowledge without implementation is useless!! Remember if you want to be successful, and actually tap into this leverage it is vital that you actually apply what you learn, then keep applying that skill, and learn a new one. Precept on precept. If you try to learn everything all at once you will surely become a knowledgeable failure!

Remember the value of the word And, also remember this quote. ‘Leverage is the ability to do more and more with less and less.’
